we're also working on this, the upcoming JIRA version 2.5.2 will allow the addition of 
custom fields (ie fixfor/affected versions) to the RSS feed (atlassian missed this in 
the current release). We have an XSL that transforms the RSS feed to changes.xml.. 
although I must say that the changes.xml format is pretty inadequate.. it would 
probably be better to generate a standard xdoc document..
