There is some very important part I'd like to say once again. I have worked on issues reported by exactly those normal users. I am not the reporter of any of those issues. I created MNG-6135 in JIRA due to Igor's comments on my update to an IT. All other issues were not reported by me but by those normal users. What is breaking Maven, IMHO, is refusing to fix those issues what appears to those users as getting ignored. Maven is a build tool. Chances are great those normal users happen to be developers themselves. So what needs to be said is this: Thank you all for taking the time and for reporting your findings to us so that we can fix things we have not noticed ourselves.
