Actually, I built maven with target=1.1 and source=1.3 and that works.
I guess 1.3 would work too. All I did was modify the project.properties of maven to
get it working.

Description:
The default target is 1.1 and the source is using 1.5 which is preventing builds.
This is contrary to what maven.compile.source is using by default (the default should
be 1.3 according to http://maven.apache.org/reference/plugins/java/properties.html)
