Are there any plans to release a new version of the Release plugin any time soon? It's been since last May (!)...
The particular feature we're most interested in is for it to insert explict versions of the build plugins while creating the release POM. This is a necessary prerequisite to having truly repeatable builds. There are comments in the code to the effect that this feature is planned, but I can't seem to find the JIRA issue that tracks it... --Matthew Beermann
