We should probably *not* copy the <links> though, because the main Maven
site doesn't have any <links>.
Not sure for this one. Maven has several sub-projects so why not list them?
The links were removed from the main maven site a while back, although I
can't remember why. Check out the difference in breadcrumbs, links and
publish date between the home page [3] and the start page of the site
plugin [4].

If we do this can we also change the date to use the recommended [2] ISO
