confluence. I will post here as soon as there is anything to show.

I would appreciate it if you move this on to the Maven confluence with
everything else (perhaps it replaces the draft that Jason was working
on there). Even if it's early days, I'd like to get involved in how
the work is evolving. I have a keen interest since I was responsible
(to blame? :) for a lot of the current artifact mechanism and always
wanted to revisit it to achieve some of these things.
