Totally agree. Problem is access: as a new member of Maven team - I am
slowly gaining required accesses. As for
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVEN - I am still trying to find out
whom to ask. That is why I said - need some time :)
BTW - any ideas who's the gatekeeper?

Even if it's early days, I'd like to get involved in how the work is
evolving. I have a keen interest since I was responsible (to blame? :)
for a lot of the current artifact mechanism and always wanted to
revisit it to achieve some of these things.
