The first step here now I think will be the promotion of Mercury out
of the sandbox. Once the promotion is done we can quickly stage
another release. Let's get past the promotion first.

except for one, which did fail with previous wagon implementations.
I also ported un-uber from 3.0 tip into 2.1.x. I have not commited
these changes, but the distributed maven-mercury bundle is built
with it.
