sad news with those here who may have worked with Dion in the past.

Subject: Dion Gillard: May 5, 1967 - September 25, 2008
It is with sadness that I share the news that Dion Gillard died on 25
September.
Dion was active in a number of Commons projects, including JEXL, Jelly
and Commons HttpClient (now part of Apache HttpComponents). He also
made
contributions to Maven in the past. He became a member of the Apache
Software Foundation in 2003.
His funeral will be at 10am Eastern Australian Time on Wednesday 1st
October.
