Hi Everyone :-) Over in Rat-land[1] we've started working on Whisker, a tool to assist assembled applications[2] with licensing wrangling based on a licensing descriptor. As well as generating LICENSE, NOTICE (and - one day - other licensing related materials), Whisker aims to validate that each resource shipped in an assembled application is described license-wise. For projects using Maven, we're working on plugins to integrate these within the build and release processes.
We'd like to support projects that use alternative approaches but it's be great if Maven support were really smooth. The plugin more-or-less works now but is going to need polish and we've going to need advice on best practice for integration. Are people interested in jumping onto the rat-dev list and getting involved? Or would it be on topic to ask questions here?
