It would certainly make sense to deploy on Azure IaaS. Deploying on HDInsight 
might cause some different challenges since the different cluster types have 
different components, we would potentially need multiple hdinsight clusters to 
get the full platform going. 

In short the easy approach would probably be to go IaaS with an Ambari MPack 
install, but it would certainly be possible to pull together pieces of the more 
PaaS end of Azure to host a Metron application, but there’s some work to do 
there.

What benefit would you be looking for in using HDInsight over say IaaS?
