Yep, so my personal suggestion is to make sure that all messages get acked
on a successful join by augmenting `streamMessageMap` and ensure that the cache
refresh is *longer* than the storm timeout (if it is shorter, then it'll never
join because the partial messages will timeout before the final message comes
through).
Anyone else have thoughts?
