No, that would be an adaptable. Adapter is something that adapts a
thing, i.e. your application in the above.
In MINA adapters the adaptation target is implicit, and adaptation
happens through the inheritance mechanism. I found the name somewhat
confusing at first too. Partially because there is no explicit,
separately addressable adaptable.
