Great idea, since this XEP recently has been advanced to "final"!
Please note that s2s is not yet implemented and you might find loose ends there.
I'm +1 for making this configurable in class ServerFeatures and using MINA idle
mechanisms.
Please not that there is no direct access to MINA from the handler layer,
because the transport layer is abstracted away, you'd have to put that into
SessionContext in a clever way.
