i agree, ext4 is not the future like BTRFS.
but ext4 is better than ext3. I don't know if the difference is felt
in a fastbooting linux like moblin
but on ubuntu 9.04 for exemple, without any optimisation there is like
10seconds better boot only switching from ext3 to ext4

by the way Arjan, you probably have an SSD drive
i don't know if it has a jmricron based (or worse ? ) , what would be
your recommandation for better performance and best lifetime ? ext3 ?
ext2 ? reiserfs (who is known to be faster with small files) ? other ?
ntfs ? (ok ok this one was a joke)

of course a good solution would be to buy a GOOD SSD with at least
64MB cache (and SLC memory) but .... well they are not as cheap as the
older generation with jmicron ...
