Hi, I'd say, *practically* it is possible to add fedora repos to moblin. Just take fedora repos info file to /etc/yum.repos.d, set enable=1 for desired repos, and set correct values for $release and other symbols. As yum repository, it would work, but on your own risk and with many limitations. For example, if you want to get some app from fedora's, and its dependencies are already installed from moblin's, then yum will require to install fedora's tree dependecies anyway, and only way to install without them is to force no dependencies check. After that, every time you install something, yum will remind you of missing dependencies.
Specially for apps listed, I've compiled pidgin from sources (just take them from of. site, untar, ./configure, make and make install), OpenOffice binaries can be taken from of. site, installs fine with provided install script. So, for most of apps, alternative ways are almost as simple, as installing from fedora :) It's really better than experimenting with repos. 2009/5/22 Arjan van de Ven <[email protected]>: > udutronik Tronik wrote: >> >> Hello, I've installed Moblin 2 beta on my Eeepc.
