This may seem like a weird problem so a little background first: We're
attempting to port the moblin UI to a different platform. Mostly
successful so far but a few instances of 'quirkiness' that I haven't
been able to come to the bottom of.
The most visible one is that when we launch a moblin app, that is, one
which has the special window decorations. like the moblin web browser or
image viewer.
The application seems to 'flash' in and out of the foreground
particularly when you send the mouse to the top of the screen for the
pulldown menu. On regular moblin, the pulldown comes smoothly over top
of the app, on our port, you see the pulldown come forward with the
background and any other 'regular' apps that might have been running
behind it. The app disappears until you bring the mouse back out to
make the pulldown go away.
I'm not entirely sure where to start looking but my initial suspicion is
that there might be some window manager hints in .desktop files or
something that I'm missing. Can anyone give me an idea of where to
start looking?
