Wow, now I am mightily embarrassed... :-(
Thanks for helping out.
I will have another look through your tutorial and let you know if I get
stuck.
Cheers, Steve

Hi there HTH
HTH is short for Hope That Helps :)
I came unstuck last time I gave "slaine" a go, but I might try again.
I don't remember anyone giving me a go before, but if you meant my
tutorial then all you have to do is ask on irc or drop me a mail and I'll
see what I can do to help.
Thanks for the pointer.
Here's another one though...
UNR 9.04 is installed on my Mini9 right now, and it's great. Under
hardware drivers the Broadcom STA wireless drivers are listed as
Proprietary. This is preceded by the comment -
"Proprietary drivers do not have the public source code that Ubuntu
developers are free to modify. They represent a risk to you because they
are only available on the types of computer chosen by the manufacturer,
and security updates to them depend solely on the responsiveness of the
manufacturer."
This would suggest to me that Broadcom chose to allow the drivers to be
used on the Dell Mini 9, so why should they not be used on Moblin
instead of Ubuntu, on the Mini 9?
Sorry if this is a silly question.
Just because they say you can distribute it doesn't mean that there's
still not problems with it. As I understand it, binary blobs in drivers
break the terms and conditions of the license that the kernel is
distributed under (GPLV2).
