yes, that is the issue.  We will not incorporate a binary driver (and
that includes a driver that provides source with a binary blob that gets
linked inside) into Moblin.

OSV's that productize Moblin or individuals can make up their own mind
on the matter.

We have the basic infrastructure in place in connman to handle 3G, but I
do not think anyone has created a connman plug-in for that specific
modem.

The other part of the equation is our network applet UI called Carrick.
I'm on the hook to implement the remaining bits needed for 3G to work
(specifically we need to have a 3G connection wizard), but I've pushed
off that task for a couple of weeks to focus on stabilizing carrick and
connman.
