My bootchart version is bootchart-0.9-16.1.moblin2.i586 Regards, Axel > -----Original Message----- > From: dev-boun...@moblin.org [mailto:dev-boun...@moblin.org] On Behalf Of Li, > Cathy > Sent: 2009年7月24日 10:25 > To: Johnson, Ryan A; dev@moblin.org > Subject: Re: [Moblin Dev] bootchart (was "how to calculate boottime in > moblin?") > > I'm not sure why the PNG file wasn't generated in /var/log/ in your netbook. > > But one workaround is to copy bootchart.tgz to your working PC (Linux system > such as installed FC10), yum install bootchart on your working PC, then use > command "#bootchart bootchart.tgz" to generate the PNG file. > > > > > > Thanks > > --Cathy > > -----Original Message----- > From: dev-boun...@moblin.org [mailto:dev-boun...@moblin.org] On Behalf Of > Johnson, Ryan A > Sent: 2009年7月24日 4:23 > To: dev@moblin.org > Subject: [Moblin Dev] bootchart (was "how to calculate boottime in moblin?") > > > >> we have a tool called "bootchart" which gives you a much more detailed view >> of boot time; > >> what you do is add "init=/sbin/bootchartd" on the kernel commandline in >> grub.... and then you boot. > >> The PNG file with the graph will then be placed in the /var/log directory, >> and will show what is done > >> during the various phases of the boot. > > > > I've installed bootchart from the moblin repo, and after booting up, it > creates /var/log/bootchart.tgz.
