Thanks for your support! I was, of course, also quite discouraged with an
offer to purchase codecs or send my system somewhere (that was a ridiculous,
I cant believe they actually expected that someone from mail lists would
fall for it) I also think that since I decided not to go and pay for windows
license for my netbook and install linux - it should be possible to get
media working without additional expense.

Thanks a lot for the links you sent, I'll try them out today and will get
back to you with results.

Marcus you finally got wifi working on your wind, right? :-)
