I've upgraded to 2GB's of ram myself. Same original 160GB HDD though. I've gotten reports that the D250 is able to boot and run Moblin. I however have the D250 that comes with a 720p screen and a 6cell battery. I'm not sure what other differences it might have. If it helps I could boot into Ubuntu and post whatever log/info that could prove helpful.
