It may help...
I have dual OS (windows and moblin) on my NB, so I can change kerenl
parameter by press 'a' in boot menu of bootloader(GRUB).
Adding 'single' in kernel parameter line, then the screen will hold on blue
screen with shell prompt on the top-left of the screen.
Now, you've boot without X as root. You can start X manually with 'startx'.
My NB doesn't hang in this way.

I'm not sure. I will try to figure out how to boot without X tomorrow
(3:45AM here now) and check logs for any conflicts/errors/issues.

Do you guys have any idea about it's h/w or s/w or driver issue?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've upgraded to 2GB's of ram myself. Same original 160GB HDD though.
I've
gotten reports that the D250 is able to boot and run Moblin. I however
have
the D250 that comes with a 720p screen and a 6cell battery. I'm not sure
what other differences it might have. If it helps I could boot into
Ubuntu
and post whatever log/info that could prove helpful.

Interesting, I've tested without problem on a Acer Aspire One D250
(2GB of RAM, 500GB HD).
How much memory are you guys testing with? Are you using the standard
hardware?

It doesn't crash on my NB 205 (Toshiba) - with any version I've tried.

Hi All
Does moblin always crash in your PC/NB?
I install moblin-netbook-beta-refresh-20090814-001.img to NB(Toshiba
PORTEGE M800 -0D001X) and found it always crashs in desktop screen
before you can move cursor. It's not only in 1 NB, it happens on all
3 this series NBs in my office.
Besides, if I press ctrl-alt-F1 to open console before the desktop
appear, it works fine.
I checked several refresh versions and found the latest working
version is 06/26, every refresh version after 06/26 have the crash
problem in this series NB.
I don't know if this is special case or it's general case needed to
feedback to bugzilla. Do you have any suggestion to avoid it crash??
thanks,
-Bob
