I think your post of the year 2008 is totally unnecessary.
Here we are talking about the kernel 2.6.31.1, as you can see, has a bug
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14355

As you can see there's a patch upstream. What would be useful to know
when and when it is applied to the Moblin kernel form dev's

So please just forget usbmodemswitch and stop unnecessarily link to your
blog.
