Are you pressing the esc key during the BIOS startup so that it brings up the
menu to let you pick the USB drive to boot from?

Subject: [Moblin Dev] how to make .img boot from usb on eeepc

Hi,

maybe someone can help me, as I'm spending the 2nd day trying to test drive
moblin on an eee pc 1000h,
trying to boot from a maxell 4gb usb drive.
everything is fine, I proceeded as described at the page, transferring the
.img with win32disk imager to the empty,
formatted usb. the netbook keeps booting win xp, as if nothing would've
happened, not recognizing the drive.
(it is in the correct slot, the machine recognizes it when plugged. now I
think I understood that the drive
must be bootable (i thought transferring the image with win32diskimager
would do this automatically.
the famous hp usb storage tool cannot be found anywhere.

this is a lame problem i admit. maybe someone cares to help me.
thanks in advance.
