Hello Moblin ,
I picked up an old moblin project which is based on menlow-lpia, MIC1 &
moblin1. Yes, pretty old, in moblin terms at least. It's about a year or so
ago in developer terms.
In the project that I picked up, it's not possible to build the image that I
created way back then because
Err http://v1.moblin.org gaston/main Packages
404 Not Found
By all accounts no longer exists, though I suspect they live in a git repo
somewhere.
So, I can accept that old stuff just doesn't get updated but it does raise a
couple of important questions:
1. A quote from the moblin website stated ..." one of the goals of
image-creator is to provide a build environment that will continue to work
for a given product long after the product's base distribution has fallen
out of fashion. "
Which doesn't appear hold true in this case. Perhaps they have been just
moved & can be found elsewhere to keep old projects building ?
2. More importantly, for the future, are the original goals of moblin
still valid.
