Hi folks, its been about 2 months since the last release and there have been several changes to the Groovy support for Maven 2. I think it is time to spin up the 1.0-beta-1 release, which includes a few significant changes:

 * Uses groovy 1.1-beta-2 (which includes annotation and generics support)
 * Adds new Groovydoc report
 * Some simple example plugins written in Groovy

I believe this is enough good stuff for an official release... so lets have a vote :-) The latest site has been deployed ( http://mojo.codehaus.org/groovy/ ) and a fresh set of 1.0-beta-1-SNAPSHOT artifacts have been published to the usual place. I will probably continue to update the site more while this vote progresses.

+1 - Upgrades from 1.0-alpha-2 and 1.0-alpha-3 worked without problems.
