Yeah, I think that would be premature. :)
premature and not necessarily a good goal. E.g.
* one can have a high code coverage but a bad quality (let me test
those getters/setters to increase my rate)
* code coverage tends to be used on unit tests, and I prefer
integration tests to validate the functionality
yep, is the case with any metrics - you're right in that it shouldn't
be a hard and fast rule but it might help as a guide. It was just
occurring to me that testing had been a big concern with Maven plugins
in the past.
BTW, are there any statistics of plugin downloads ? That could be an
interesting way to measure popularity and stability.
Not sure that we have anything running on the central repo these days
but could find out if necessary.
