I'm not a big fan of velocity templates (as you can probably tell from my
inline xml generation), but i think it's a good "extension point" for
customizing behavior. sounds like a good solution to me.
Yeah, using the repository url isn't ideal. for my project, i'm using my maven
repository for all artifacts (including project website). I'm totally fine
with changing the default values. Using the project.url probably makes the
most sense as a default value.
