Johan Andrén commented on MNBMODULE-33:
---------------------------------------
That sounds good, we have talked a bit about different ways to solve the
problem with the RCP suite and this was our fastest solution but far from the
best we could think of.
When I think about the patch a bit some kind of check for current
executeability would be in place for those who run against their IDE for
platform. It's actually kind of abusive and perhaps not interesting for anyone
but us with our special setup.
Still we need to get our nbexec executable every time we run "clean
nbm:run-platform". Maybee we should use another packaging for our RCP artifact
that preserves the permissions and make this a non-issue that way.
> nbexec might lack exeution permissions

> In our setup we use an artifact with our netbeans platform suite instead of
> the netbeans installation of the current workstation. When doing this on
> linux and osx we get errors starting the application with the run-platform
> target because the extracted artifact (a zip-file) does not keep the
> execution permissions on the starter.
> This patch runs a chmod if the starter lacks execution permission on unix
> os:es.
