Versions plugin - does it resolve updates correctly?
----------------------------------------------------

                 Key: MOJO-1268
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MOJO-1268
             Project: Mojo
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: versions
         Environment: N/A
            Reporter: David J. M. Karlsen
            Priority: Critical

When I run the versions plugin's display-plugin-updates goal I get:

[INFO] The following plugin updates are available:
[INFO]   maven-enforcer-plugin ............................ 1.0 -> 1.0-alpha-4
[INFO]   maven-war-plugin ............................... 2.0.2 -> 2.1-alpha-2
[INFO]
[WARNING] The following plugins do not have their version specified:
[WARNING]   maven-clean-plugin .......................... (from super-pom) 2.2
[WARNING]   maven-deploy-plugin ......................... (from super-pom) 2.3
[WARNING]   maven-install-plugin ........................ (from super-pom) 2.2
[WARNING]   maven-site-plugin .................... (from super-pom) 2.0-beta-6

[INFO] Finished at: Tue Nov 18 18:31:06 CET 2008

I would say 1.0 > 1.0-alpha-4 ?
But it reports:
[INFO]   maven-enforcer-plugin ............................ 1.0 -> 1.0-alpha-4
