Hmm - I see your problem.
Could you give more details on the use case?
I think the default should be to set compileSourceRoot to true (as I anticipate
that not wanting to add the sources would be rather seldom compared to vanilla
usage) - so that this could be overridden (e.g. set to false) in those special
cases.
Any patches are welcome ;-)
All in all I think the plugin needs more cleanup, to more intuitive both to
developers and users :-)
If we leave it as this for the moment at least any regressions will be avoided.
