Robert Munteanu commented on MGWT-140:
--------------------------------------

> Are you using plugin SNAPSHOT version ?

Yes, 1.2-SNAPSHOT and I only have gwt-maven-plugin-1.2-20091106.174851-11.jar
in ~/.m2/...

> NOTE : with 2.0+ you can't have to use local installation all is java.

I would _love_ to not have a local install but unfortunately only 2.0.0-ms1 is
uploaded at http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/google/gwt/

> Invalid GWT home reported for locally installed 2.0.0-rc1

> When compiling against a local gwt-2.0.0-rc1 installation, an error message
> is thrown:
> Invalid GWT Home : /opt/gwt-2.0.0-rc1
> Apparently GwtRuntime is looking for gwt-dev-{platform}.jar unconditionally (
> http://svn.codehaus.org/mojo/trunk/mojo/gwt-maven-plugin/src/main/java/org/codehaus/mojo/gwt/GwtRuntime.java
> , ) , and once I symlinked gwt-dev.jar to gwt-dev-linux.jar the compilation
> was fine.
> First of all, please support the new layout using a local install. Second of
> all, please provide more detailed error messages from GwtRuntime, it would
> save a lot of time.
