Tim Clemons commented on MLICENSE-25:
-------------------------------------
Not really. This bug relates to projects that use a packaging type of "pom"
but still have dependencies and produce artifacts. For example, a project that
produces a zip file with the maven-assembly-plugin. The
aggregate-add-third-party goal won't work as expected as there are no modules
listed in the project.
> license:add-third-party should operate on projects with "pom" packaging

> Currently, add-third-party refuses to run with a message of "The goal is skip
> due to packaging 'pom'". However, many projects list their packaging as
> "pom" as a workaround for only generating assemblies or rpms. These use
> cases are not especially rare.
> Could this check be removed or, at the very least, an option added to
> override it?
