I've had a second look at this issue and I've come to the conclusion that the
most solid solution is in fact adding a custom property. Only the site.xml has
to be changed, so we can do a site-deploy with the original versions of the
doxia-site-renderer and the maven-site-plugin. -RobertFrom:

Subject: RE: [mojo-dev] Using the new maven-fluido-skin for mojos

Right now the skin is using currentDate from the velocityContext.[1][2]
The model has no option for a specific (re)publish-date.
This sounds like an improvement for Doxia.
The fastest hack is to add a custom property which could be picked up by the
fluidoskin, although I'd prefer a more solid solution.

I'll ask Simone and Lukas for their opinion.
