Argh ... it ties into most of the ITs, this bugfix.
But I still think it is better to remove the option completely than to merely deprecate it.

That, in turn, implies that the A-M-P will not be backwards compatible... which implies we should likely not use a 1.5.1 bugfix release number. But first, we should rectify the problem and fix the bug.
