This is when you have a flat project like: aggregator /-pom.xml /-parent /-pom.xml /-moduleA /-moduleB So parent is a leaf module with packaging=pom. This is not supported because it will have no source folder. I propose to change the condition packaging=pom to modules.isNotEmpty(). Add Comment   Mojo's Sonar Maven Plugin / MSONAR-75 Ignore "sonar.sources" and "sonar.tests" on projects with packaging=pom When wanting to use the multi-language feature (see SQ 4.2) on Maven projects, it would make sense to simply set "sonar.sources=src" on the root module of multi-modules Maven projects to benefit from this feature on all modules. When doing that we're currently getting an error from SonarQube because this src directory doesn't exist in the root module....
