No, the files are saved in Latin, and it always worked fine until my last MyFaces update.
I didn't notice any change in the log either.
I'll continue to investigate.
Thanks for your email.

Are you saving your Properties files as UTF-8 or Latin-1? If you save them as UTF-8, your accented characters will be broken (because they'd be stored as double bytes). This bug is related: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-230, but AFAIK nothing has been to submit the patch and I adviced against it. Still re-thinking my approach there. Anyway, we very much need the UTF-8 encoding support here, so might end up doing it locally just for our implementation. In our case, one relatively easy way out would be to implement x:loadBundle with "encoding" attribute.
If you are savign to the same format as before, then I don't know of any change that could have caused it.

Subject: Properties files handeling broken
There was a discussion about UTF-8 property files.
Today I noticed that my message bundles don't display well.
The characters with accents are all broken.
Anybody knows about a change that would have affected this lately ?
Thanks,
Sylvain.
