cannot set the current page on data scroller

Data Scroller cannot remember the page it was displaying when a page is
reloaded via standard navigation. Functionality for would be greatly enhanced
if there were a currentPage property which could be set directly or through a
value binding.
Workflow:
View a JSP containing a table and data scroller.
Move to page n using the data scroller.
Select an item displayed in the table which links to a detail JSP
Navigate to detail JSP
Navigate back to table JSP and automatically render page n of the table
