Ok further investigation, the partial response writer is not hit as it seems, I
set a breakpoint on startUpdate which is started at the beginning of the
partial tree processing, and it is never hit.
So MyFaces must fail earlier than that, the update is pretty much almost at the
beginning of the ppr response before the components themselves are processed
for rendering.
