We encountered problems using the IE8 when the page is displayed in
compatibilitymode (boxmodel,...). According to this (german) information:
http://aktuell.de.selfhtml.org/weblog/kompatibilitaetsmodus-im-internet-explorer-8
the browser-behaviour for compatibilitymode can be influenced by the webpage
using metatags.
We suggest to include this tags in the page-renderer, to be independent from
some client-configuration.
