I got the following response back from IBM (along with a snippet of the trace I
sent):
The "WARNING: Cannot set header. Response already committed" occurs after the
above trace point.
In the WebContainer, the default buffer size is 32768 (and is configurable via
"responseBufferSize" custom property). This large buffer size is made up by 4
arrays buffer of 8192 which in turn has 2 arrays of 4096.
When the first array of 4096 buffer is filled, the response is automatically
committed. The only way to change this size is calling
response.setBufferSize(int) programmatically from the application.
If JSP is used, page buffer attribute (default is 8K) can be use to hold the
data within JSP buffer. However, once that buffer is filled and flush out to
the WebContainer's buffer, response will be committed.
