Hi, i think you may ask on the mailing list in a new topic about how to release it. We only have a release checklist for core: https://myfaces.apache.org/core23/release-checklist.html But i think some guys here already did a release of it.
In general it should be easy: run the maven tasks, do a vote, release in nexus. I dont think we need to update the site/homepage or other tasks here. Also note that you need to setup signature/gpg stuff if you never did. About the builder-plugin SNAPSHOT: I think that's a similar problem. We switched to GIT for the build-tools and have no nightly builds on jenkins. So you have to compile it currently by yourself: https://github.com/apache/myfaces-build-tools/tree/master/maven2-plugins/myfaces-builder-plugin I'm also not sure if we need a nightly build here, we only change it each X years and can immediately do releases. I would start with releasing the builder-plugin and then create a nightly build for MF core 3.0.x branch. Best regards, Thomas Am Mo., 13.
