Yeah, I don't think anyone will ever use PPPOE (or even PPP) in an embedded platform. Once this is decided I will open a new [VOTE] for rc2. If it is not decided by tomorrow, maybe we just remove those files and release without them. And if it is decided that the files can stay in the tree, we add them back for 1.4.0 (or 2?). Regarding the old releases, since we just deliver source packages for mynewt-core it should be only a matter of removing those files from the package and upload again, right?
