that's what I was hoping to work on actually, because it would make
Espruino more portable.

Given Gordon's limited time, and his commitment to supporting his
(excellent) commercial Pico board, it would help to have a solid OS in
place which handles the various peripheral protocols, to make porting
easier - at least that's my newbie mind thinking.

The reason that I started looking beyond Espruino is that I have a
collection of 50 different peripherals, and have found that some are
not supported in the various Espruino ports to the same extent that
they are supported on the Pico board.

I first ran into this with the Wii Nunchuck - works great on the Pico
board, but not at all on the ESP8266.

Given Gordon's other commitments it's unreasonable to expect the same
level of support on a competitive board.

That was my thinking too.

I'm available to spend 10 hours a week porting the core of Espruino to
an OS platform which will make porting easier.
But first, I need to get it up and running...
