Then it would be exactly the same situation that we have today.

Notice, I said that you could still change language. I make no claim that
this would automaticaly give the right language to everyone. But what I'm
saying is that it would give the right language to *more* people than what
we are serving *today*. I don't mean it's perfect, I mean it's *better*.

Also, we don't have to cover all languages. If we just cover the "big
ones" we will be serving most people. More importantly, we will be serving
more people better than we are today. And if the language is not
recognized, the page defaults to English. So in those cases, the page
behaves just the same way that it does today. Nothing lost.

You see what I'm trying to say? We don't need to wait for anyone. If no
one provides other language versions of the page, that's ok, it just means
that the page works the same way that it works today. But every time one
of the NL groups comes and gives us a localized version of a page, then
people from that locale will now be more likely to get a page that is
already in your language.

It's a simple and beautiful system. It always gets better with more
submissions. It never gets worse. The absolute worst it can do is... just
the same as what we have today.

Cheers,
