Hello,
this comes from the L10N list this morning: http://l10n.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=4960
I think it may interest some here.
Just for information, a Breton team is localizing OOo and they hope to be finished with 1.1.4 at the end of April. They will then work on 2.0 to have a release ready for September. Firefox, Thunderbird, AbiWord, eMule, FileZilla and a lot of softwares are already translated and will go on a cd that will be distributed to schools speaking French and Breton (several hundreds). They are funded by a government agency (Office of Breton language) and one member of the team is full time on OOo translation.
A Gascony version of Catalan is at his begining.
I must say that this is much more difficult for the localization in West African languages, they have few resources, working environment is very difficult for some of them too.
I know that Fongbe goes slowly, but work is progressing (build of the glossary, actually he is also finishing SPIP translation), I don't have recent news for Moore and Wolof.
Work for Fongbe and Moore is funded, but I don't know the status of the Wolof team.
Kind regards Sophie
