I want to bring this bug to your attention:

Needless to say that this bug causes havoc for our danish users but this
affects all locales using . as thousands separator
Apparently, it is some kind of feature that Calc recognises the pasted
HTML value of 1.000 as 1 when using a locale with . as thousands
separator. I have been asked to gather votes for this bug, so if you
consider 1.000 to equal 1000 when using . as thousands separator, please
visit the bug report and cast your vote. Please inform your community as
well.
Hi all
Just to give you all an update on this bug since it is affecting all
locales using , as decimal.
We have explored the scope of the defect. It appears that Calc assumes
that pasted formatted text is always in English locale. For example, if
you simply enter "1.000" (one thousand in Danish, German etc.) in Writer
and copy+paste it into Calc it is mis-recognised as "1".
This defect has caused data loss for our Danish users so stay alerted.
Sren
