Dear colleagues,

With this letter, Open Source Armenia group would like to propose the Native
Language Confederation project on localizing OpenOffice into Armenian.

Although, we started the localization of Open Office last year, have done it
for Windows and Linux OSs, and even have the JCL agreement signed and sent. But
we will greatly appreciate if you could find it possible to accept this
proposal for further development of localization into Armenian.

Open Source Armenia team does not have a long history as it was founded only in
2002. However, since that time, we have been able to establish a strong
community of software developers not only in Armenia but also
internationally, by involving Armenians from other parts of the world. The
group coordinated its activities and now progresses these on about 12 different
open
source software development projects, including such projects as localization
of Plone open source content management system, Mozilla Firefox and
Thunderbird. You may find more info about us at
http://www.opensourcearmenia.com/

We will prefer to work under the Level 1 type project.

This project doesn't address any already represented language, and I would like
to confirm our agreement to abide by the OpenOffice.org guidelines
and policies.

Sincerely,

Armen
