Hi all, I would like to formally propose the Estonian native language project for OpenOffice.org. Our team has been working on a localization of OpenOffice.org into Estonian since autumn 2001 and we have released all major and minor releases since OpenOffice.org 1.0.1 Estonian is included in OO.o source tree since some 1.1.x release. (Don't remember exactly). We have also already submitted Estonian localization for OpenOffice.org 2.0 and I personally have during last year actively participated as tester in OO.o l10n projects work, with goal making translation process smoother and simpler. We have our project page at http://openoffice-et.sourceforge.net and now we are waiting to move over to et.openoffice.org. :)
We work as volunteers, (almost) without financial support from government organizations etc. At this time we have 4 more or less active members and a lot of testers and users. We have got with no exeptions very positive feedback from users of OpenOffice.org localized versions and this encourages us to continue with this project. In current time we are busy with QA of 2.0 GUI translation, also we are translating helpcontent as much we can... Our main goals after release of 2.0: - produce at least minimal set of templates, autotexts, etc. - finish translation of helpcontent2 module - get overview about our product users and their needs - a lot of more...
